What’s On In London This November
By
The penultimate month of the year is often forgotten about, but for 2024 we’re making sure November is filled with fun. How, you ask? With our handy dandy guide of things to do in the city.
Bonfire Night Fireworks
All eyes turn to the sky as it comes to life with an explosion of light and colour. You can find some amazing fireworks displays at Battersea and Alexandra Palace this year, with some smaller events scattered around the city. Expect stalls of glorious food, mulled wine, and music that will get you dancing.

Remembrance Sunday
Commemorating the British servicemen and women in World War I, World War II, and later conflicts, Remembrance Sunday lies on November 10th this year. The Royal Family, Armed Forces, Political Leaders, and representatives of faith communities will gather for the wreath-laying at the Cenotaph in Whitehall at 11am. But you can watch the parade and the following service from the streets of London if you would like to join the ceremony.
It’s better to arrive early, though, as attendance may be limited if the area becomes full.
St Andrew’s Day in London
Celebrate the Scottish holiday in London with an array of events and festivities. The Scots in London organisation is hosting the St Andrews Book Festival from 25th November – 1st December to celebrate Scottish authors and literary people. Book tickets for talks, poetry readings, panel discussions, and more.
Or if you want to move your dancing feet, London’s wildest Ceilidh Band is celebrating the day in Balham with a pop-up event of dancing, drinking whisky, and eating tasty fare. Grab your tickets here.
Vogue Exhibition: Inventing the Runway
This new immersive exhibition will open on 13th November and explore the history of the fashion runway show from the intimate couture salons of the 20th century to the pop-culture events of the present. The interactive experience combines state-of-the-art sound design with a playlist of classical and pop music, four-story tall displays, and animation. Book your tickets here.

The Lord Mayor’s Show
One of the best-known annual events in London, this civic procession dates back to the early 13th century and has been used to appoint the new Mayor of the City of London for over 800 years. This year, the 696th Lord Mayor will be Alderman Alastair King of the Queenhithe Ward and heads to Westminster to complete his appointment on 9th November at 11am. Join the joyous procession as it heads from Mansion House, past London landmarks, to the Royal Courts and back again.
Thanksgiving Celebrations in London
Whether you’re an American in London or the friend of a Yankee, you can celebrate the special holiday with a mouth-watering meal of your own. American restaurants across the city are hosting special events with exclusive menus on the 28th November (unless otherwise stated).
